Objectives

Through the training of youth workers, a collaboratively developed curriculum, developed green learning spaces and an awareness campaign, organisations are able to inspire young people for local ecosystems and thus encourage their active participation in the protection and (re)construction of these ecosystems. ‘ECO Reboot’ thus contributes to the fight against climate change by actively involving the young generation in environmental protection at local level.

Activities

‘ECO Reboot’ is based on a clear structure. A preparatory phase including the kick-off meeting, is followed by four phases, in each of which an ecosystem is intensively analysed from different perspectives over a six-month period. For each ‘ecosystem phase’, an international training course on this ecosystem will be implemented and local activities will be organised. Each partner will also organise a multiplier event. In total, 4 training courses and 4 multiplier events will be realised.

Impact

The concrete results of ‘ECO Reboot’ at the end of the project are a basic curriculum for teaching green skills in the field of youth education with a special focus on the preservation and restoration of local ecosystems (WP2), the design and construction of green learning centres (WP3) and the development of interactive media products for teaching content outside the ‘natural context’ of ecosystems (WP4). Together, this will contribute to climate protection.
