Objectives

EYES’ primary objective is to empower youth to engage with their local communities through cultural heritage. By exploring and presenting their heritage, the project strengthens community identity among youth, promotes intergenerational dialogue, and fosters active citizenship. It also enhances digital literacy, equipping youth and youth workers with tools to create multimedia heritage tours that connect local traditions with broader European values like diversity and democracy.

Activities

WP1 will ensure smooth project management and adherence to the objectives WP2 will prepare youngsters to explore their local heritage and provide useful resources for educators WP3 will be aimed at the creation of model tours and the development of resources to ensure the smooth creation of youth-led tours WP4 will engage youngsters in the creation and testing of their own tours WP5 will focus on the dissemination of the project

Impact

We will produce a range of tangible outputs, including 10 multilingual heritage model tours, 10 youth-created tours, and a tutorial for replicating these tours. Additionally, we will create two guides—one on using heritage for community building and another on mentorship for youth workers—alongside a repository of 15 best practices and a toolbox with 20 tools for developing multimedia tours and presentations. Lastly, a project summary paper will ensure replicability of the project's approach.
