Objectives

CARE-CE aims to enhance clinical educators´ competencies in supporting nursing students facing metal health issues. By addressing them in training, CARE-CE seeks to foster a more resilient generation of nurses. Key objectives include identifying educators' developmental needs, developing and pilot testing a sustainable educational intervention, and evaluating its results. Ultimately, the initiative aims to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Activities

CARE-CE will produce a Survey-Based Knowledge Report to identify the specific challenges educators encounter when working with nursing students facing mental issues. We will develop a Blueprint which will be pilot tested in three different ways in the partnership organizations and evaluated at end of course and after 2 months. Course material will be accessible through the EPALE platform

Impact

CARE-CE will produce a comprehensive report outlining the challenges clinical educators face regarding nursing with mental health issues. It will be shared within the three partner organizations and presented at local and national conferences to contribute to discussions on mental health integration in nursing education. Additionally, a blueprint for effective student support strategies will be developed and pilot tested with 50 clinical educators, followed by evaluations of their experiences.
