Objectives

This project addresses the challenges faced by young people suffering from concussions and will produce accessible and effective recovery resources tailored specifically for young people themselves, youth organisations, and concussion researchers. With the development of youth concussion recovery guides, youth organisation concussion certification tools and recommendations for additional learning, we will significantly improve the recovery process for hundreds of young people with concussion.

Activities

To achieve our objectives, we will implement four activities: 1) Mapping of what young people need to recover from concussion. 2) Mapping of existing resources that can address the identified needs. 3) Design of an accessible concussion youth guide for concussion recovery and implementation of a certification tool for youth organisations. 4) Dissemination of recommendations for further learning from research and development.

Impact

The concussion guide for young people will create: 1) At least 100.000 web clicks each year for the concussion guides. 2) User evaluations on at least 3,5 on a scale from 1-5, where 5 is the top score. 3) Certification of at least 10 youth organisation within the project period and recommendations for new research leading to at least three new learning tools to help young people to recover from concussion.
