Objectives

The primary objectives of the Healing Classrooms project are to enhance social and emotional support for refugee students in Estonian schools and Italian Lombardia schools, improve educators' teaching practices, and foster inclusive educational environments. We aim to equip teachers and educational specialists in both regions with the Healing Classrooms methodology, providing practical strategies to address the unique challenges faced by refugee students and promote their integration.

Activities

We will conduct training sessions for educators in both Estonia and Italian Lombardia schools to equip them with the Healing Classrooms methodology. Monthly co-vision meetings will be held to foster collaboration among educators, allowing them to share experiences and best practices. Additionally, we will facilitate a study visit to Italy for Estonian educators to observe successful implementation strategies in action. Translated materials will be developed and made available online for public.

Impact

Educators in Estonia and Italian Lombardia schools will gain a deeper understanding of the Healing Classrooms methodology, leading to improved teaching practices and enhanced support for refugee students. Collaboration among educators will increase through co-vision meetings, fostering a sense of community. We anticipate that the emotional and social well-being of refugee students will improve, resulting in better academic engagement. Translated materials will be produced.
