โ–ถObjectives

The project aims to equip disabled and non-disabled dance instructors with advanced skills in inclusive dance education, promote the integration of inclusive practices in educational and community dance programs, and increase accessibility in the performing arts sector. It also seeks to create and deliver a comprehensive, scalable training program while raising awareness of inclusive dance methodologies through widespread dissemination activities.

โ–ถActivities

The project will begin with a comprehensive training needs assessment, gathering insights from disabled and non-disabled dance instructors. Based on these findings, a 40-hour training program will be developed, consisting of a 30-hour self-paced module and a 10-hour live session. Pilot training sessions will be conducted to test and refine the program. Afterwards, the training will be scaled up, with at least 30 dance instructors from each partner country participating.

โ–ถImpact

The project will result in at least 120 dance instructors or dancers trained in inclusive dance methodologies, enhancing their skills and promoting accessibility in the sector. A detailed report on the training needs of dance instructors, a comprehensive training program available on the HOP platform, and a series of events will foster inclusivity in dance education. The project will also raise awareness and promote broader adoption of inclusive dance practices across the arts sector.
