Objectives

This project aims to promote accessible nature and dance experiences for people with disabilities through movement, inclusive dance and storytelling. The project will involve participants in outdoor artistic activities and explore the accessibility of cities and natural areas. The objectives include providing opportunities for connection with nature, increasing awareness of the importance of access, and promoting social inclusion and diversity in the local community.

Activities

A1- Project management, dissemination and visibility A2 - Inclusive dance regular workshops in Madrid and Helsinki open to adults with and without disabilities in the period of the project A3 - Exchange of best practices in inclusive dance A4 - Filming a short documentary (10 min) in Helsinki and in Madrid (10 min) A5 - Lectures to provide a critical framework for understanding the intersection of disability, ecology, and access to nature

Impact

The main outputs of this project will be two documentaries on how accessible nature is in two cities in Europe. A significant number of people will be able to take part in inclusive dance classes, and about 40 persons, both disabled and not, will be featured in the movies. By making this more visible and understandable and encouraging empathy through the personal and group experiences of those with physical limitations with nature, more awareness will be generated.
