With the GreenMec partnership, we want to connect, benchmark and mutually inspire the car mechanic vocational education programmes at Prakticum and Techcollege. Together we will pursue learning solutions to current and future training needs re. inspection & servicing of electric vehicles, which is an urgent and ongoing sector & mechanic professional profile transition challenge. We do so in support of the society transition to a green transport future, requiring skilled electric car specialists.

In the project, we will establish a long-term green transport training partnership. We will identify & develop digital materials and interaction opportunities for students to work together/inspire each other, online and in joint workshop sessions. Both will be tested by a group of 30 students. We will benchmark current training practises and identify areas of inspiration, best practise & future development needs. We will co-create ideas for a more gender-balanced future car mechanic education.

We will develop, test & share/publish three forward-looking specific Project Results: 1) A Benchmark Log comparing current partner training practise re. electric vehicles, identifying best practises and a sector employer-backed future skills needs outlook. 2) A shared digital platform for hosting new joint digital study material and facilitating student collaboration/interaction 3) An Inspiration catalogue on measures to improve the attractiveness of car mechanic education to female students
