The main aim of the project was to involve the 2 partners in long-term initiatives as part of European Erasmus + projects (“Classe Europa” at the Institut D'Alzon, aimed at promoting the values of the European Union through exchanges between member countries and the occasional inclusion of Portuguese in non-linguistic subjects, and strengthening the dynamism and roots of the European French language section at Viatodos secondary school). In this way, the creation of steering teams in each structure, the introduction of common cooperation and management tools and exchanges of practices between teachers have strengthened skills. The project also aimed to have an impact on the pupils of the two partner structures by enabling them to diversify their civic, linguistic, digital, artistic and cultural pathways through their involvement in a cross-curricular project, recognition of their achievements and validation of their skills with the introduction of assessment tools at the various stages of the project and the organisation of artistic competitions and citizenship award ceremonies including the Europass.

The work plan was divided into 4 activities over 6 months, including 2 mobility activities with immersive stays and 2 weekly virtual activities outside school time (workshop in France, project session in Portugal). The mobility activities consisted of cultural visits (sometimes to places not often visited by secondary school pupils, as in the case of the Opera), but above all workshops in artistic practices (singing, theatre, folk dances, parietal art, modelling,decorating azulejos) and sharing values linked to exchanges (messages written and left on the olive tree of friendship planted in France, poems) and Europe (denim blanket and team challenge on the European Union for the Europe Day celebrations in Portugal, eco-responsible beach clean-up activities). The extra-curricular activities were carried out on a voluntary basis in parallel in the 2 countries. They prepared for the visits through language and digital workshops (presentation videos, posters on the traditions and challenges of the partner regions, welcome guides). After the visits, the workshops focused on finalising the project through digital productions (video report, digital exhibition).

The project has three concrete achievements: - a joint video report with interviews and testimonials from those involved on the challenges of the project - a joint digital exhibition on the work shared by the pairs of correspondents throughout the project - two bilingual guides (one per school) prepared for the reception of correspondents and partner teachers The results of these three projects have been disseminated on the ‘Erasmus + Projects Results Platform’ and in appendices on the ‘Beneficiary Module’. Our project is also awaiting validation by the Portuguese national office so that the results can be disseminated on the eTwinning collaborative platform (opening in anticipation of a public TwinSpace).
