Our goal is to foster an innovative approach to education in our schools, positioning students at the heart of their learning, by implementing a project that establishes a collaborative environment among educators, an international network for exchanging best practices, and a consortium of partner companies focused on an environmental issue that addresses a genuine challenge faced by the partners: the treatment and management of waste on school grounds.
▶Activities
Our project is entitled "From prototyping to manufacturing: a shared project" because the activities reflect the standard stages of an industrial project. Our aim is to create a working environment in which students acquire the methods of industrial management for decentralized production sites through hands-on experience, involving a sequence of virtual collaboration phases with our partner, with milestones of face-to-face interactions to define outcomes and build the next steps.
▶Impact
Tangible outcomes include a waste recycling machine and a classroom equipped with extensive prototyping and communication resources. Non-tangible outcomes include an increased awareness of environmental protection, a sense of belonging to Europe and an openness to globalization. It has promoted language learning through its use and has created a positive working atmosphere, a collaborative network of partners and a business cluster that is leaving a lasting impact on our institutions.
