Objectives

The SUSRUD project aims to reduce energy costs for rural farmers through the adoption of biomass energy from agricultural residues. It seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of 200 farmers and 40 VET educators in biomass energy utilization, promote sustainable waste management, and contribute to environmental sustainability while supporting rural economic development.

Activities

Key activities include creating a Practical Guide, conducting workshops and field visits, and producing podcasts and video series to share success stories and practical insights on biomass energy. The project will focus on providing hands-on learning experiences and engaging local stakeholders.

Impact

The project expects to achieve a 20% reduction in energy costs for participating farmers, train 200 farmers and 40 VET educators, and increase the adoption of biomass energy technologies. Additional outcomes include the development of a Practical Guide, podcasts, and videos, along with improved awareness, knowledge, and community engagement in sustainable practices.
