▶Objectives
The project takes place in a context where the mental health of young people in Europe is a major issue, and aims to offer a practical and innovative tool to youth and health players, to improve the mental well-being of young people through scuba diving. The aim is to raise awareness among youth and health professionals of the benefits of scuba diving for young people's mental health.
▶Activities
The project's activities include a sociological survey of European youth as well as physiological tests through saliva samples during two week-long diving sessions in a natural environment. The results will be compiled into a guide in booklet form, which will help health and youth professionals raise awareness among young people about the practice of diving and its benefits. These findings will also be shared during a European conference.
▶Impact
The project aims to improve the mental health of young people through scuba diving, while strengthening social inclusion, proposing an innovative approach to youth players, and influencing European public policies to integrate this practice into sport-health programs.
