Summary

The main objective of the project is to improve the emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction of autistic SEN students through play therapy, while fostering inclusion and promoting environmental sustainability. We aim to empower teachers with new skills in inclusive education and green practices, and to create a sustainable peer support system through activities that blend therapeutic play with eco-friendly approaches.

Objectives

The main objective of the project is to improve the emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction of autistic SEN students through play therapy, while fostering inclusion and promoting environmental sustainability. We aim to empower teachers with new skills in inclusive education and green practices, and to create a sustainable peer support system through activities that blend therapeutic play with eco-friendly approaches.

Activities

-A 4-day training in Turkey to equip teachers with skills to deliver therapeutic play sessions. -A 5-month program of 20 structured play therapy sessions focusing on emotional regulation and social interaction. -Pairing neurotypical students with autistic students for guided play sessions to enhance empathy and social skills. -A 4-day training in Spain followed by the creation of a Sustainable Plays Booklet with eco-friendly play activities integrating green practices into therapeutic play.

Impact

We expect the project to result in improved emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction for autistic SEN students through play therapy. Teachers will gain new skills in delivering inclusive education and integrating sustainable practices. The project will also foster empathy and inclusion among neurotypical students through the Peer Buddy Program. Additionally, we will produce a Sustainable Plays Booklet, which will serve as a long-term resource for implementing eco-friendly play
