Objectives

EmpowerYOUth builds youth worker competences, empowering them to work with a curriculum aimed at building the resilience and coping mechanisms of youth (14-19) to positively impact their wellbeing by fostering effective coping mechanisms, habit-building practices and complementary attitudes among youth. Youth workers will be equipped with digital tools including a learning platform with a rich library of practical exercises that seamlessly bridges facilitated learning into real-life application.

Activities

EmpowerYOUth will implement the following activities: #Development of the EmpowerYOUth curriculum through the enhancement of BUILD, drawing on youth voices and I.YOU app practices #Development of the EmpowerYOUth platform including a digital archive of practical exercises and methods #Development of EmpowerYOUth in-person training and its implementation #Implementation of EmpowerYOUth curriculum piloting #Amplificaiton of youth worker and youth voices through EmpowerYOUth public service campaign

Impact

EmpowerYOUth international training course (2.5 days) trains 32 youth workers from Iceland, Bulgaria and Italy in EmpowerYOUth curriculum, exercises, and participatory methods. Trained youth workers access support though a digital platform extending their learning and offering a rich library of practical exercises and insights for use by youth worker, parents and youth themselves. Parent capacity to support their children will be enhanced through parent/guardian workshops in all countries.
