▶Objectives
"Room with a View" aims to engage VET teachers, artists and talented VET students from Utrecht and Bologna, in a new methodology for learning about active European citizenship. Through utilizing creative techniques, e.g. digital, analogue, 3d and sound-scaping for the creation of artistic visualizations, students can reflect on their perspectives on themes related to, under the mentorship of experienced artists and their teachers.
▶Activities
1. Interdisciplinary co-creation of a shared methodology, building up from our individual skills and tools. 2. Workshops and Young-Artist-in-Residences (Y-AiR) for students to work in teams, guided by artists, creating their own Room with a View. Ending with local exhibitions, open to the community at large. 3. Exhibition and debate.
▶Impact
1. A new innovative approach, involving creativity, critical thinking and cooperation, to involve students in experiencing their own European citizenship, build to fit in to the curriculum of VET instutions. 2. A trained group of artists and teachers that can take on the follow up editions of this methodology in the coming years, under the guidance of the cultural partners. 2. A strong partnership between the partners from Italy and the Netherlands, as a start of a growing European network.
