Objectives

The general objective of this project is to exchange and develop good practices between partner organisations on raising environmental awareness, fight against climate change and organizing outdoor education for students with special educational needs. In this way, our students' knowledge, skills and attitudes on environmental literacy and awareness will improve. In this framework, learner-centered and nature-based learning activities will be created and transferred between partner schools.

Activities

Four transnational teacher workshops will be organised to address our needs. In parallel to these workshops; local workshop activities are also planned after each workshop in order to spread the impact of our project within the participating organisations. Experiential outdoor education activities will be organised for our student target group at local level. On the other hand, student-based activities will be organised within the school to strengthen their environmental literacy and awareness

Impact

The expected results of our project: - Awareness of students with special needs on climate change and environmental issues will increase; their knowledge, skills and positive attitudes will be strengthened and the enhancement of their environmental literacy will be supported. - Social and emotional well-being of students with special needs will be supported through outdoor educational activities. - Special education teachers will upskill themselves in the field of experiential outdoor education.
