Objectives

The ELONG project aims to achieve the following key objectives: Geocaching promotes outdoor exercise and exploration for students. Improve digital skills by incorporating GPS and digital tools into learning. Geocaching introduces students to local ecosystems and culture, promoting sustainability. Real-world context-based learning improves English. Create flexible learning activities for diverse students to promote inclusion.

Activities

Develop educational frameworks for integrating geocaching into the curriculum. Organize outdoor geocaching expeditions for students, focused on environmental and cultural learning. Create geocaching trails highlighting local cultural and historical sites, incorporating educational content. Develop and maintain a digital hub for project coordination, sharing geocaching routes, and educational resources.

Impact

Enhanced student digital literacy through the use of GPS technology in geocaching activities. Improved environmental awareness and knowledge of cultural heritage among students. Increased English language proficiency through practical, real-world learning experiences. Inclusive learning environments that engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
