Objectives

To strengthen by establishing cooperation and knowledge transfer farmer organizations who are leading the way in the most sustainable agriculture according to standards going beyond organic, and to develop networking between Polish farmers belonging to - EKOLAND organic producers association and German DEMETER im Osten biodynamic association. The farmers from both countries will learn and exchange on best practices of farmer processing, direct sales and short supply chains in Poland and Germany.

Activities

The project activities will consist of: -study trip of German biodynamic farmers from Demeter im Osten to Poland lubelskie region to meet polish farmers and see best practice examples in Ekoland farms -study trip of Polish farmers from Ekoland to see best practices of direct sales and food processing and meet farmers in Saxony -workshops in zachodniopomorskie and mazowieckie to spread the results to Ekoland regional structures -community workshop in Saxony farm to multiply the results

Impact

-increase skills of German biodynamic and Polish Ekoland certified farmers on food processing at the farm, direct sales channels, short supply chains -building intercultural understanding and networking between German and Polish farmers producing highest quality food; -strengthen partner organizations and their regional structures and develop future cooperation supported by reports from activities and exchange, best practice presentations, learning and action points for future implementation
