โ–ถObjectives

The project aims to better understand the needs of young people with disabilities and to support partners in developing new, high-quality activities tailored to the needs of young people; to better understand the professional challenges of those working with youth and to develop new activities to ensure their well-being; to develop improvements and new approaches in working with youth as well as in staff support programmes, and to increase the international character of partner organisations.

โ–ถActivities

The main activities are: 1/ Participatory research with 180 young people with disabilities (mostly intellectual and associated with mental disorders), their parents and carers and those working with them to map the most relevant common areas of support. 2/ Design and test a guide with 20 innovative activities to work with young people and a set of guidelines. 3/ Design and test a guide to support the well-being of youth workers and assistants. 4/ Trainings of multipliers and dissemination.

โ–ถImpact

1/ A handbook for NGOs to support the implementation of high quality activities including in particular: an analysis of the needs of young people and youth workers, a toolkit of 20 activities supporting young people and 10 tools to support the well-being of youth workers. 2/ Professional and personal development of the staff of the organisations involved. 3/ Development of the organisations through international exchange of knowledge and practices as well as innovative tools and improvements.
