PeriNext I Development of Knowledge and Vocational Skills for Transition to Sustainable Peri-urban Areas with Integrated Climate Solutions
▶Objectives
The PERINEXT aims to enhance the capabilities of 150 VET professionals by equipping them with advanced knowledge and skills in climate-neutral urban planning for peri-urban areas.By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration,the project will promote the integration of sustainable energy,mobility,and environmental solutions into planning processes.It seeks to support the transition of peri-urban areas into climate-neutral zones while aligning with EU policies on sustainability and climate change
▶Activities
The PERINEXT project will implement the following core activities: -Development of a CLIMATE NEUTRALITY AWARENESS KIT to equip you with knowledge and tools for climate neutral peri urban planning(A3) -BRAINSTORM WORKSHOPS organized in 3 countries to promote interdisciplinary cooperation(A2) -INTERNATIONAL IDEATHON, an international ideathon where vocational education experts and local experts will work together to develop innovative, scalable climate-neutral solutions(A4)
▶Impact
Expected project results for PERINEXT: -150 VET professionals will enhance their skills in climate-neutral urban planning, promoting sustainable solutions for peri-urban areas. -15 VET institutions will increase their capacity to integrate climate-focused strategies into their curricula. -Scalable tools like the Climate Neutrality Awareness Kit will support EU sustainability goals. -Local governments will adopt climate-neutral action plans, contributing to the EU Green Deal.
