Objectives

The main aim of this project is to promote the inclusion of young people through an intergenerational learning programme, increasing skills in working with the elderly. Strengthening NEET young people's learning and improvement skills, increasing self-esteem, mentoring skills, orientation, problem-solving and responsibility, socio-relational skills. On the other hand, older people could experience improved well-being, digital skills, self-esteem and an active ageing attitude.

Activities

The project is aimed at 15 young NEETs (aged between 18 and 30) and 15 older people (aged between 60 and 90). Each young person has a programme of activities developed for 1 hour, 3 times a week, for 6 months. This means a total of 72 hours of mentoring in new digital skills. This project is being carried out in three countries, Portugal, Spain and Ireland, with evidence of multicultural results in intergenerational learning programmes.

Impact

At the end, there will be a report with the impacts observed in the areas of social inclusion, community cohesion and well-being in the area and country in which this project operates,will be comparisons between countries, ways of working and results. Looking for new forms of interaction, evolution and discussion. The results will be measured through interviews and questionnaires, with the main premises: Characterisation of the participants and Impact of the programme on mentors and apprentices.
