▶Objectives
The "Healthy Families, Healthy Futures" project aims to reduce childhood obesity through family-based interventions. We want to equip parents, caregivers, and educators with the knowledge and tools to promote healthier eating habits and physical activity among children. By raising awareness on sustainable food practices and increasing access to practical resources, the project seeks to create healthier home environments and foster community-wide behavioral changes.
▶Activities
The project will implement five key activities: 1. Public Consultations to gather data on childhood obesity and sustainable food practices. 2. Active Family Days Campaign in Italy and Romania to engage families through interactive educational events. 3. A Digital Guides initiative, offering user-friendly resources on meal planning and physical activities. 4. A Raising Awareness Campaign on social media, promoting healthy habits. 5. Ongoing partner meetings to ensure coordination and evaluation.
▶Impact
The project expects to deliver tangible results such as digital guides, infographics, and educational materials that promote healthy eating and active lifestyles. We anticipate improved awareness among families, educators, and healthcare providers about the importance of family-centered health interventions. Additionally, the project will foster partnerships across Romania and Italy, influencing local policies on childhood health and leaving a lasting community impact.
