Wateracy aims to increase water literacy and foster water stewardship among young people from marginalised communities, and seeks to raise awareness of water-related issues, co-create solutions, and anchor these solutions in policymaking at local levels. Wateracy engages 180 young people and 90 adults in the participatory research, creates 48 activities and engages 90 young people and 30 youth workers, holds assemblies with 180 young people. It reaches 25.000 people online.

Identification of knowledge gaps and co-production of knowledge through participatory action research with marginalised groups, Co-creation of activities with young people to raise awareness, build connectedness to water, and help them (re)connect with water bodies. Establishing water assemblies to discuss and develop solutions to local water-related challenges, produce actionable recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders, and amplify the voices of marginalised groups. PR1: Wateracy Research Report: This report will co-produce knowledge with target groups to better understand their current situation, issues, and needs. PR2: Wateracy Activities Toolkit: This toolkit will focus on (re)connecting young people with water bodies while fostering emotional connections and values. PR3: Wateracy Water Assemblies: 6 water assemblies across partner countries will be created. PR4: Wateracy Policy Paper: A policy paper will be drafted with input from young people
