▶Objectives
Project implementation will highlight the importance of recycling organic matter and making compost to protect the environment. The planned activities will strengthen the competencies for building up a responsible relationship towards the environment, lifelong learning, and cooperation. Through collaboration with participants in public life, we would set a good example and emphasize the importance of responsible participation of individual and educational institutions in a democratic society.
▶Activities
We plan to collect the organic waste and use it to produce fertilizer, thus encouraging the students to perceive different possibilities of environmental protection. The created compost will be used to fertilize the school garden. The school garden will be the site where practical teaching will be performed. Excess compost will be shared with other schools, public institutions, or rural households. Lastly, by creating a website, we can share our positive experiences with others.
▶Impact
After carrying out our project, we expect that students: - will be actively engaging in finding solutions on how to protect the local environment - will be able to perceive the problematic situations related to ecology interdisciplinary - strengthen vital competencies for a responsible relationship towards the environment, active participation in a democratic society, and problem-solving. - strengthen cooperation with local institutions and population in terms of environmental protection
