Objectives

This project seeks to develop inclusive educational resources on the 17 (SDGs) for primary and secondary educators. It involves creating tiered activities for each SDG, testing lesson plans, forming a network of schools dedicated to sustainability, gathering a team of teachers to work collaboratively on materials, and producing an e-book that promotes sustainability through language learning and vice versa and equips students to address climate change while also providing support to teachers.

Activities

The implementation plan encompasses multiple activities, such as brief training courses on AI educational tools for participating teachers, collaborative online workshops, short term visits among the three countries, the establishment of an eTwinning group (Greening Curriculum - Greening Schools), workshops for educators both within and outside the participating organisations, sustainability exhibitions and the creation and distribution of an e-book focused on the SDGs.

Impact

The project seeks to deliver concrete outcomes by introducing a contemporary framework for ELT that encourages a change in mindsets. It will equip teachers with resources centered on the SDGs, promote parental involvement, and assist school leaders in implementing sustainability initiatives. By focusing on a content-based approach in ELT, the project promotes sustainability topics in curriculum development, encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation among educators to tackle climate change.
