Objectives

The project aims to enhance the skills and methodologies of social workers in supporting people experiencing multiple exclusion homelessness, focusing on the Housing First (HF) model. Specific objectives include: Sharing strategies to promote HF service users' health, well-being, social participation, substance abuse, and intimate partner violence. Establishing a knowledge exchange network among social workers. Developing an international community of community of practice for ongoing learning.

Activities

The WOOH project will implement key activities to enhance social workers' capacity in Housing First (HF). These include: Two focused training seminars on new methodologies for supporting marginalized adults, covering health promotion, community engagement, and strategies to reduce antisocial behavior and substance abuse. Creation of a knowledge exchange network for social workers. Development of guidelines to support social workers in HF practices and foster international collaboration

Impact

The WOOH project expects to achieve the following results: -Enhanced skills and methodologies among social workers through focused training, improving support for Housing First (HF) service users. - A stronger professional network for social workers, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation in HF. - Comprehensive guidelines developed to assist social workers in HF programs, ensuring long-term impact and continuous professional development.
