▶Objectives
The objectives of Blue Horizons are to: 1 - Deliver an ocean conservation programme to young people 2 - Facilitate community involvement through beach cleanups, and outdoor workshops 3 - Integrate and promote blue therapy activities such as mindfulness sessions by the water 4 - Advocate for policy changes at local and national levels We aim to pilot a unique programme that will support young people to learn about ocean health, while also maintaining their own well-being through blue therapy.
▶Activities
Through Blue Horizons we will deliver: 1 – Water Conservation Programme with 12 young people in each partner country. This will also include local beach clean-up projects. 2 – Blue Therapy Modules with 12 young people in each partner country. This will also include blue therapy sessions – mindfulness and yoga outdoors by blue spaces. 3 – Community Engagement events to promote the project with 120 external stakeholders across the consortium. 4 – Two transnational partner meetings in m10 and m21.
▶Impact
To support our objectives and activities, we will develop the following results: 1 - Water Conservation Programme for Youth Advocates, comprising online modules and practical activities to support young people to learn about water conservation. 2 - Blue Therapy Modules and Toolkit for Youth Advocates, comprising short, practical modules and toolkit resources for youth advocates to support them to practice and promote blue therapy techniques. 3 - Youth Advocacy Toolkit for young people.
