▶Objectives
The primary goal of the IT Fitness Test 2025 was to empower young generation in Visegrad countries with basic and - to some extent - advanced digital skills with help of an online testing tool which would allow them assess their level of digital skills and provide basis for further education and self-development in this area. The project aimed at equipping students and youngsters with competence and resilience in facing digital challenges. Another important ambition of IT Fitness Test 2025 was to provide complex, relevant evaluation of results and structured data, together with objective interpretation to educational and digital transformation stakeholders in order to help then address gaps in digital education more effectively. Without supporting development in the area of digital skills of students and teachers, successful digital transformation of educational systems in Central and Eastern Europe will not be possible.
▶Activities
The project was focused on implementing 2 activities: Activity 1: Certified Testing - This activity was launched on 26 February 2025 in Czech Republic and Poland and on 6 March 2025 in Hungary and Slovakia. During this activity, schools - students and teachers participated in testing - either individually or as part of an organised activity managed by the school/school director/teacher in their classrooms. Before testing was kicked off, several preparatory activities were conducted - including creation, review and localisation of the test questions, preparation of the website - technical updates and new content, and preparation of the marketing and communication campaign, that was conducted during the whole certification period. Activity 2 - Analysis of the test results and dissemination of Final Report - during this activity, an international Final Report was prepared, summarizing key findings and providing detailed data analysis for all participating countries. The Final Report was shared and disseminated among key stakeholders and education professionals with the aim to support them in their activities leading to transformation of educational systems and adapting them to digital challenges.
