▶Objectives
With the European Green Deal announced in 2019,the EU has committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 and to be carbon neutral by 2050.According to this,30€ per ton has to be paid for CO2 emissions from exports to the EU market by 2026.As being one of Türkiye’s most important export product,cotton,project wants to achieve to spread sustainable cotton production,reduce carbon emissions to EU levels and to increase our cotton's value in the world's sustainable cotton market.

The following activities will be carried out: 1.On-site Experience of Practices for Sustainable Cotton Production:visits and ex-change knowledges and experiences on sustainable cotton production. 2.LCA Training of Trainers:training to gain vocational and technical competences of LCA 3.Cotton LCA Training of Target Groups:Training to Turkish cotton sector producers 4.'Sustainable Cotton Less Emission' Event:Announcement of activities,results and expected effects of project
▶Impact
With implementing planned activities,in mid and long term it is expected: -to develop the knowledge and skills of trainers who can guide the target audience through international partnerships -to spread sustainable cotton production among Turkish cotton farmers and reduce carbon emissions to EU levels -transform Turkish cotton into a sustainable mainstream product of the world cotton market -transfer our lands to next generations by reducing carbon emissions
