İkinci Şans Okulları için İlk Adım

By this project, we will be able to understand the fundamentals of Second Chance School initiative and make preliminary studies for starting a similar initiative in Türkiye. This project will be a first step for inclusion of NEETs and young Syrian refugee NEETs who do not have any chance to be included to the national education system and who face the risk of exclusion from the labour market. To achieve this, the project intends to create a partnership between main actors working in the field.

1. Transnational Cooperation at EU level: Our experts will have the opportunity to observe the best practices of SCS in France. The visits are expected to inspire the participants for the Turkish version of SCS. 2. Hacettepe University will prepare a draft curriculum to be used in SCSs in Türkiye. 3. A needs analysis will be conducted by H.Ü. in order to determine the target groups ore precisely. 4. A report will be prepared by the DGFREU to be submitted to the decision makers.

At the end of the project, our experts will learn the fundamentals of SCS initiative. We will have a curriculum, a needs analysis and an operational final report to create SCS in Türkiye. With these results, we will have a sound basis for making SCS operational in Turkey either with national or international funds. Finally, this project will help the inclusion of Turkish NEETs and young Syrian refugee NEETs who do not have any chance to be included to the national education system.
