Objectives

The project’s objectives are to promote a positive school climate with enhanced gender equality and to contribute to the creation of safe schools where everyone is protected from gender-based violence. Specifically, the project aims to enhance teachers’, school psychologists’ and school social workers’ understanding of anti-feminism, toxic masculinity and related common EU values, and to build their capacities for dealing with these issues.

Activities

The project compiles comprehensive material on anti-feminism and toxic masculinity and develops a specific training concept in cooperation with teachers, school psychologists and social workers. Based on these, it then offers in-person training and online workshops. It also provides tailored informational material and offers online consulting sessions. To raise awareness of the issue’s gravity and exchange about good practices, the project foresees participation in relevant international events.

Impact

The project produces the following: - comprehensive interactive training on anti-feminism and toxic masculinity (including ideologies, narratives, case studies and concrete countermeasures) tailored to the needs of school professionals. - implementation of these training (x12) plus two online specialisation workshops on incels - one-on-one online counselling sessions on specific cases with the target group - 3 infographics, 2 short analyses, 3 handouts, 2 conference papers on these topics.
