▶Objectives
The aim of the project is to address a critical gap in the vocational training of professionals working with people with intellectual disabilities (ID): ID and dementia. We aim to respond to this need by developing high quality training materials for formal caregivers of people with ID with a specific focus on dementia and ID. The project will contribute to the promotion of skills relevant to the current labour market, based on a sound need analysis and it will foster a more inclusive society.
▶Activities
The project encompasses several key activities: conducting country-specific need analysis and publishing the results in an comprehensive report; compiling a Caregiver Toolkit, including resources, open access instruments and an e-book on dementia and ID in 5 languages; developing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on ID and dementia; organizing two Learning, Teaching, and Training Activities (LTTA) for 10 formal caregivers; implementing dissemination activities to share the project´s results.

R1 Country reports: results of the needs analysis, available training resources and opportunities, good practices and methodologies. R2 Caregiver Toolkit: a comprehensive toolkit for caregivers on methods of early recognition and strategies in caring for people with ID and dementia.
