▶Objectives
This project improves Vocational Education Trainers' skills in creating sense-based teaching materials on systemic thinking and sustainability in horticulture and food processing, focusing on hearing-impaired people and those with learning disabilities. Two Learning Formats will be developed for VET trainers. By tailoring materials to their learners' needs, trainers can enhance their job market competitiveness while promoting sustainability through systemic thinking and sustainable practices.
▶Activities
The partners will analyze the current situation of their country and collect good Practice examples. Based on this, a didactical concept is elaborated. Sense-based teaching materials are produced and provided by an interactive handbook. A Competence Profile is defined and the curriculum for the VET trainer education is developed. A Blended Learning Course is implemented during the project and a long-lasting and easily accessible digital learning format is prepared and published.
▶Impact
VET trainers and teachers will learn to create tailored sense-based teaching materials for horticulture and food processing aimed at hearing-impaired and people with learning disabilities. This will be achieved through two formats: Blended Learning and a Massive Open Online Course, the latter accessible to everyone. Haptic, acoustic, and visual materials for these special needs will also be created and stored accessible online, focusing on sustainability in horticulture and food processing.
