Objectives

The project aims to improve cycling safety and accessibility for newcomers by providing Virtual Reality (VR) training and facilitating a bike donation system in workplaces. By removing barriers to cycling, the project will enhance road safety awareness, increase bicycle access, and support sustainable commuting, fostering social inclusion and environmental responsibility across participating companies and partner countries.

Activities

The project will implement VR-based cycling safety training, develop a workplace-integrated bike donation app, and create a bicycle support guide for companies. Activities include a kick-off meeting, training module development, trainers’ workshops, pilot testing in partner countries, final evaluation, and dissemination efforts through corporate engagement, social media, and policy advocacy.

Impact

The project will produce trained newcomers with improved cycling safety awareness, an adapted workplace bike donation platform, and company-supported cycling policies. Expected outcomes include increased safe cycling adoption, greater workplace participation in mobility solutions, enhanced corporate sustainability strategies, and wider policy recognition of cycling as an inclusive transport option.
