The CitizenUnited project aims to: ⢠Raise awareness of the low levels of civic engagement and the barriers faced by people with disabilities in participating in democratic life. ⢠Build confidence and empower members of public administration and social/political science faculties to enhance their ability to teach inclusive citizenship and promote e-participation in democratic life. ⢠Utilise technology to create accessible e-participation environments for enhanced civic engagement.
ā¶Activities
The CitizenUnited project will develop: ⢠A report including insights from citizens, public authorities and representatives of disability organisations. ⢠A training package for faculty members and a coursework for students with strategies to build confidence in teaching inclusive citizenship and civic engagement while incorporating e-participation tools. ⢠A platform of digital tools facilitating inclusive e-participation, providing digital solutions for people with disabilities.

The CitizenUnited Project will enhance civic engagement by developing an inclusive digital platform, an innovative coursework for students, and training materials for faculty members to integrate e-participation into education.
