Objectives

The EMPOWER project aims to foster sustainability education by developing innovative teaching methods and engaging students in real-world environmental challenges. Objectives include creating Green Action Teams (GAT), implementing hands-on sustainability projects, enhancing teacher training on digital tools, and promoting transnational collaboration. The project will equip students with green skills, encourage behavioral change, and strengthen partnerships for long-term environmental impact.

Activities

The EMPOWER project will implement transnational student-led sustainability projects, hands-on workshops, and local community initiatives focused on reducing plastic waste. It will establish Green Action Teams (GAT), train teachers in digital and inquiry-based learning (Teacher Growth), and facilitate international exchange visits. Activities include data collection, prototype development, and public presentations to raise awareness, ensuring long-term impact through collaboration and innovation

Impact

The EMPOWER project will produce tangible sustainability initiatives in schools, including plastic, textile and food waste reduction solutions & innovative learning materials. It will enhance students’ environmental awareness, green skills, & critical thinking. Teachers will gain expertise in digital and inquiry-based methods. Partner schools will strengthen collaboration, and local communities will benefit from awareness campaigns. The project will create a lasting framework for green education
