Y-Plan will implement a Youth Camp and empower youth to create their own neighbourhood plans in 4 case studies and test some of their pilot designs. The ambition of the project is to enable site-specific civic participation to address issues related to the lack of people-centric development. The aim is to equip youth with advanced participatory and soft skills for sustainable urban governance through innovative education, set in real-life environments.

A curriculum and a 5-day Youth Camp in Cyprus will equip participating youth with the skills and knowledge to co-create neighbourhood plans for four cities — Nicosia, Niš, Athens, and Brussels. The plans will be followed by the piloting of selected designs and ideas, along with advocacy efforts to promote their implementation. Several communication and dissemination activities will be used to amplify the project's impact and fostering the exchange of knowledge across communities.

The key results of the project will be: a) the co-creation of urban solutions and interventions in three European neighbourhoods and b) the development of advanced participatory and soft skills of youth and stakeholders. The achievement of these results will be supported by a series of outputs, including a co-creation curriculum, a youthCAMP, a booklet for each neighbourhood plan, a series of youth-led urban interventions, a replication framework, multiplier events and policy recommendations.
