Objectives

The project aims to enhance active citizenship education across CEE by developing a Competence and Learning Framework, multi-modular curricula, and digital learning tools. It will equip educators and CSOs with tailored resources, increase accessibility through inclusive methodologies, and ensure long-term impact by establishing a regional training infrastructure. Ultimately, it strengthens civic engagement, resilience, and democratic participation especially among marginalized communities.

Activities

We will engage CSOs, educators, and grassroots activists through focus groups, stakeholder consultations, and expert advisory meetings to refine educational content. Pilot trainings and shadowing opportunities will ensure hands-on learning and quality testing. A digital learning hub will host open-access materials, while multilingual translations and an accessible English guide will increase inclusivity. Dissemination will include a regional conference and online webinars to expand outreach.

Impact

We will develop a strategy to address active citizenship challenges in CEE by creating an ambitious set of educational resources that support holistic and transformative pedagogy. This will establish a long-term, region-wide blended learning program, forming the foundation of a regional educational institution. Engaging over 200 participants annually, the initiative will foster a dynamic, interconnected network of active citizens, strengthening and revitalizing civil society across CEE.
