Objectives

PlayForward addresses educational, industry and societal needs by tackling sustainability challenges in sport. The project aims to introduce the Microcredential Sport Sustainability Manager, enabling professionals to plan, promote, and execute socially and environmentally responsible sport events. This involves leveraging AI solutions across the entire event lifecycle, assessing environmental impact, engaging stakeholders, promoting democratic participation, and fostering volunteering in sport.

Activities

The project will update and validate the competence profile of the Sport Sustainability Manager (SSM) and design a stackable Microcredential model, leading to SSM qualification. A pedagogical action-based framework for Microcredential delivery will be developed, along with a digital teaching-learning ecosystem, and tested with 48 transnational students. A series of supporting tools and promotion events for various stakeholders will be created to support the uptake of the PlayForward approach.

Impact

A series of outputs include: - Validated competence profile SSM - Microcredential SSM (10-12 ECTS), recognised by industry and educational stakeholders - 3-phase pedagogical framework, including theatre-based online studies, job shadowing and service-learning, supported by a digital teaching-learning environment - 48 validated MCs - Evaluation report on the pilot MC implementation - Set of tools and recommendations for educational and industry stakeholders on adopting the PlayForward approach
