Objectives

We want children to grow up in families, this is the best place for children to develop. Today, children are still growing up in residential care; these children should be given the chance to grow up in families. We empower families of origin so that their children can return to this family. We also empower families to actively make themselves available as foster families and to accept children in residential care into their families.

Activities

1. the project process, curriculum, practical application and publication are outlined in two kick-off meetings. 2. the development of the curriculum for parent education is the pedagogical foundation of the project. 3. the creation of material is carried out with scripts and videos from everyday parenting and serves to recognize and expand educational action. 4. dissemination activities make the curriculum and project results available to the public500

Impact

We expect the project to strengthen youth welfare in Leipzig and Bratislava. As an independent youth welfare organization, we expect new areas of business. There will be a shift in focus from residential care to family-based education. We support the fact that parents are the experts for their children. Residential care for children stigmatizes parents with inadequate parenting skills. We make a decisive contribution to the protection of marriage and family.
