Objectives

The project aims to make the work in the meeting centres for older people in the EU more comprehensive and improve its quality, and to expand the skills and tasks of the volunteers and full-time staff working there. The employees and visitors should be able to participate more in social life, and they should also be enabled to take on more responsibility for their local senior-centres and their community.

Activities

The planned activities can be summarised in 4 groups: 1: Project management: coordination of the network, contact with NA BIBB, financial management, management of online meetings and face-to-face meetings, ensuring the timely realisation of other tasks, 2: Description of the structures and activities of the partners, preparation of a report, 3: Planning, implementation and documentation qualifying. pilot projects, 4: Evaluation, transfer and dissemination of the project results

Impact

By discussing and transferring good practice from individual partners, the project will contribute to the further conceptual development of the partners' educational work with senior citizens, in their local and regional networks as well as at a European level (e.g. in Sweden). Common principles and foundations for senior-friendly concepts of small-scale and directly application-orientated further education will be developed and tested.
