▶Objectives
The project aims to empower non-citizen adults in Germany and Italy by deepening their political participation, media literacy, and advocacy skills. Through training, storytelling, and digital tools, participants will gain the skills to engage in public discourse and policy. Furhermore, the project strengthens cross-border collaboration between both organizations, and provides lasting educational resources to promote democracy, diversity, and social justice.
▶Activities
The project includes the exchange of methodologies and best practices between the organizations, an in-person and online training for non-citizen adults on advocacy, storytelling and media production, three online training sessions on press work and digital campaigning, and a public screening of participant-produced videos in Berlin and Florence. A handbook with toolkits and training materials will be created to ensure sustainability.
▶Impact
We expect the project to strengthen the learners' political engagement, media literacy, and advocacy skills, empowering them to actively contribute to democratic processes. By sharing best practices, both organizations will improve their adult education capabilities. The project will produce educational materials, including videos and a handbook, which can be used for future initiatives. We aim to build a network for ongoing collaboration on political participation and rights advocacy.
