Objectives

EMBRACE UAM is to improve quality of care and support for unaccompanied minors (UAM) by enhancing skills of staff in trauma-informed care, vocational training and psychological and legal aid. The project ensures that staff are equipped to address emotional, psychological and legal needs of UAM, contributing to their integration into host countries. Additionally, it facilitates exchange of best practices between partners to enhance collaborative approaches and strengthen work in UAM care.

Activities

The project will be implemented through 3 main activities: 1. Three Peer Learning and Job Shadowing Exchanges across partner countries (3 travel per partner - Germany, Italy and Greece), involving 5 staff members per partner. 2. Staff Training Workshops in Germany, focusing on trauma care, psychological and legal support and vocational training. 3. Dissemination Strategy, including dissemination materials and the organization of 3 local final conferences to share the project’s results

Impact

The expected outcomes include improved staff skills in providing trauma-informed psychological and legal support to UAM, leading to better care and integration outcomes. Also, the adoption of new practices across partner organizations and the dissemination of project results through conferences and digital platforms will ensure that improvements are sustained and widely shared. These outcomes will contribute to long-term positive impacts on UAM well-being and integration efforts across Europe.
