Improving the quality of education and training for intercultural trainers aims to standardise and professionalise competences for intercultural workers. This creates transparency of quality criteria in the intercultural sector, especially for train-the-trainer experts and training organisations. A further aim is the recognition of standards in European countries and the creation of simplified access to the ECILP certification framework.
▶Activities
A guide to the ECILP certificate and the ECILP standard catalogue on the congruence of existing certificates and ECILP requirements will be developed and published by ECILP-Connect. The target groups, including trainers and employees of training institutes, will be involved. The establishment of transnational working groups will promote the dissemination of ECILP. Transparency of the competence criteria is created and digital access options are optimised.
▶Impact
A practical guide facilitates the use of ECILP and supports the industry-wide and Europe-wide acceptance of the standards. A transnational network with central contact points promotes the exchange of information and dissemination. The use of the ECILP competence framework will be strengthened, while digital access to relevant information and documents will be simplified. This will further stabilise the professional field in the intercultural sector.
