“Diversity Inc.” aims to contribute to making workplaces within micro and small entities (businesses and non-profit organisations) safe and inclusive spaces. It raises awareness among management and staff on how people can be different and encourages them with practical advice how to manage diversity and combat unconscious bias. Most importantly these workplaces will allow employees with diverse backgrounds to feel a sense of belonging, inclusion and mutual respect.

The partnership will develop a free online tool 'Diversity and Inclusion Awareness Tool' (DIAT) to be used by managers and staff of micro and small entities to self-assess their learning needs in terms of inclusion and to be pointed towards personalized Learning Pathways based on their results in the tool. A Network of trained certified Area Ambassadors across the EU will promote the approach and will continue supporting the target groups on their journey to improved inclusion in small entities.

The DIAT and the personalised Learning Pathways will remain available for free to the target groups within small entities, which together make up 2/3 of the workforce in the EU. These workplaces with improved inclusion and open to diversity, will also contribute to higher productivity and creativity of staff and in the long run benefit the company, as well as the employees. The approach will be promoted and sustained by a Network of trained Area Ambassadors using the methodology and tools.
