▶Objectives
The Care4Caregivers (C4C) project aims to provide skills to support professionals and caregivers of autistic people by implementing a complete, flexible, attractive and comprehensive educational program involving VR. The project will result in increased understanding of autism diversities, the creation of a transferable and harmonized training program for caregivers of autistic people, contributing to the development of a more inclusive and supportive society.
▶Activities
To achieve the above the projects includes the following activities: Needs assessment, curriculum development, development of VR modules, training of trainers, pilot testing of the VR application, development of side training materials, refinement, dissemination, certification scheme, sustainability plan.
▶Impact
-Training materials adapted to the needs of caregivers of autistics, including theoretical framework and quizzes. -A Virtual Reality application including real life scenarios of caring an autistic individual and self-care and stress management techniques. -A Trainer’s manual to incorporate all project materials -An accessible online platform for easy and flexible access to all developed materials. -Certification for participating professionals according to EU standards
