▶Objectives
We support the increasingly clear need to transform Europe's agriculture towards regenerative methods in the face of global heating, biodiversity loss, erosion and water problems. We support the dissemination of known ways to foster implimentation and operation of agroforestry, especially species-rich food forests in Europe, which address climate change, enhance biodiversity and improve soil health – and give farmers and young people a promising healthy future producing healthy food.
▶Activities
Across four countries we are developing a comprehensive online & on-site training, covering a wide range of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary content areas necessary to implement and manage food forest practices effectively. Based on knowledge of experienced practicioneers and science we equipe trainers to disseminate knowledge and best practices of European food forests. We train practitioners with virtual and on-site trainings to integrate networked natural processes in food production.
▶Impact
With a Europe-wide, well-structured and well-founded programme to impart relevant practical knowledge, we empower small- & midscale farmers, horticulturists and others to make an effective contribution to cooling the climate, water retention, biodiversity and, of course, to our healthy diet without synthetic fertilisers and pesticides. We provide High-Quality Learning Materials and train trainers to support farmers income and the future of our children.
