Objectives

The overall objective of the project EnviroNaut 2.0 is to advance the environmental skills and practices of workers, staff and companies in the Nautical Tourism sector through the increased implementation and use of the EnviroNaut course and to thereby adapt the sectors VET training to current standards. A certification and code-of-conduct system will provide the incentive for the target groups of trainers, instructors and personnel in the Nautical Tourism industry to complete these courses.

Activities

To advance the environmental awareness of worker in the Nautical Tourism sector, the project will - develop the 'EnviroNaut Trainer' programme, - integrate the course into existing nautical tourism curricula, and - establish certification standards and methods.

Impact

The project will produce the 'EnviroNaut Trainer' programme and Trainer handbook, two new translations of the EnviroNaut course, the adaptation of these two courses into multilingual courses on a Learning management system, the detailed analysis of current training standards, policy recommendations to incorporate the EnviroNaut teaching contents into existing training programmes and the development of recognised certification and codes-of-con
