"Building our future Europe" - has two meanings. On the one hand we want to learn from experts in different countries how cities and can be prepared for and react to the consequences of climate change. We will talk to city officials, architects, leaders in sustainability and NGOs. On the other hand we will invest in our students, providing opportunities to learn from people and projects that stand for environmental innovation. By this - and with the manual we will write - we educate our future.

There will be four activities to make a difference. First, we will educate our teachers in a workshop week in Türkiye, laying the groundwork for the manual and the other activities. Next our focus will be on green energy solutions in Belgium and their preparation for rising sea levels. In Greece our focus is on finding solutions for a city stressed by heat waves in long summers. We will finish our project in Germany where we learn about smart and sustainable city development in a big city.

The main result will be the manual created throughout the project that provides lesson plans and creative methods for other teachers to implement practical solutions about climate change - the various results of each activity (like e.g. podcasts or exhibitions) will be included in this manual as inspiration. In addition there will be a local result in each of the cities since one part of our project is to design and realise an initiative that fights climate change in the respective community.
