Young people with disabilities are often excluded. Disability makes social participation more difficult. The Barrier Checkers test where they encounter obstacles and work to overcome them. Fourteen young people, with and without disabilities, from two nations take on specific challenges (e.g., "Go to the cinema today"). They plan together and find solutions. They experiment with support systems and use digital tools to overcome barriers and to share their experiences and insights.

The partner organizations get to know each other in the virtual space. The teachers and the young Barrier Checkers use the tools of the eTwinning platform for exchange and engage intensively with digital aids. Challenges are conducted at the community level and documented as videos. Local networks are tested and established. During two international meetings, the students face challenges together and document their experiences.

The young people engage with their abilities and limitations. They use digital tools to overcome or document barriers. They acquire important key qualifications. The teachers learn new methods of working and collaborate using digital tools and platforms. Documentation and a guide make the project visible to the outside world and invite others to replicate it. Publications provide impetus for successful inclusion.
